Birthday

"Birthday" is like New Year's. Time to make new resolutions and let go of strategies that did not work this past year. Material things have come and gone, I am still here. Friends and jobs likewise, I am still here. Glad to be here no matter how messy, trivial , or bombastic life events have been. That is the the mysterious insanity, inanity of life. Now I'm 38, a new number. Another year, another me. And of the many, the only me.

I am starting this blog in the interest of keeping track of my time and stirring up some new ideas for the book I started writing, well, in high school. Life writes itself. For the last several years, I've had an idea for a story about children being born with out skin. It's based on a very real impoverished town not too far from me in South Carolina.
